21-day Nutrition Challenge…Go!

It’s Monday, and it’s the start of your 21-day challenge! Woohoo!

I want to congratulate you on making a step in the right direction toward health and wellness! You’ve already succeeded because you’ve started! Don’t take that lightly. Thank you for coming along on this journey with me. I hope that you will remember today as the day that started it all!

Goal-Setting with a plan in place:

If you haven’t already, I encourage you to write down 2 or 3 things that you want to focus on over the next 3 weeks. Maybe you need to really focus on getting to bed earlier and eating more healthy fats. Or maybe you need to focus on getting 2 days of weight training in per week and laying off the grains. Whatever your focus will be, I want you to map out how you are going to achieve those things. This is going to be the difference between success and frustration.  And then, make sure you stick to it. No excuses.

If you are planning on getting to bed earlier, be specific and set a goal for what time you will begin getting ready for bed to allow for an earlier bedtime.  Or, if you’re going to be cutting out grains, go ahead and plan what you will be eating instead and make sure you don’t have any grains in the house! If they aren’t there, you can’t eat them. Or, if you’re working on fitting in 2 weight training workouts per week, get out your schedule and mark down the time you are going to do it and don’t cancel it no matter what. Act as though you have a doctor’s appointment–you wouldn’t cancel a doctor’s appointment. Maybe you need some accountability with your workouts. If that’s the case, join a group exercise class or hire a personal trainer or get a workout partner.

Your why:

Finally, think of a few key reasons why you decided to do this 21-day challenge. You are committed to this challenge because you want to be healthier, have more energy, set a good example for someone, avoid disease, perform better, etc. Whatever that reason is, write it down and refer back to it when you’re feeling challenged.

I would even encourage you to post at least one of your goals to the comments here so we can help each other out! I’d love to see what you are striving toward so I can help you along the way.

Don’t forget, if you need help, have questions, get stuck, I’m here to help…don’t hesitate to get in touch with me!

Stay tuned for a giveaway this week!

Best of health,

Danah

  1. I have gotten away from eating as healthy as I used to. I want to really focus on that and getting my exercise at home going again. I have slacked off on it and I can tell I don’t feel as good.
